The Call For Papers for the 2016 Annual Conference of CIMUSET (ICOM International Committee for Museums and Collections of Science and Technology) is now open!
The Conference will be held in Milan, Italy, from 3 to 9 July, 2016, during the 24th ICOM General Conference.
Following the main theme of the General Conference “Museums and Cultural Landscapes building up a Cultural Heritage” the proposed topic for the CIMUSET meeting will be:
“What role for science, technology and industry in cultural landscapes?”
If you would like to present your project please send your proposal for papers (title, text 500–700 words) or for posters (A1, portrait format) along with a brief professional profile (150 words) through the application form, which is available by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
The call for papers will be open until 28th January, 2016.
CIMUSET conference is intended to present the atmosphere of a workshop and is open to all General Conference participants.

Please consider being nominated or nominating a colleague for a position on the the CIMUSET Board.
The period of office is from 2016 to 2019.
Elections of new members for the CIMUSET board will be held at the CIMUSET General Meeting at the ICOM General Conference in Milan (4-8 July 2016).
There are 11 positions: president, 2 vice-presidents, treasurer, secretary, second secretary, and 5 members.
CIMUSET members, wishing to be nominated for the CIMUSET Board, are invited to contact the election committee.
Nominations will only be accepted of the person proposed is:
• a paid-up member of ICOM
• a voting member of CIMUSET
• nominated by another CIMUSET voting member, and
• has accepted the nomination
A member of the board can have only two terms (six years) in the same position (but you can change of positions). However, it is not possible to be on the board continuously for more than twelve years.
It is preferred that the Board does not have more than one member representing any particular country.
It can be also advisable that candidates are funded by their institution for expenses resulting from their participation as CIMUSET Board Members.
Voting will be by mail or in Milan during the meeting, or by mail. Details will be announced along with the list of candidates in June 2016.
